The floor is white
soft, dusty, cold.
the branches hold heavy a burden
to protect the ground,
boasting evidence of their failure.
no travelers trudge across the ground
the snow lies untouched
no one comes here anymore.

Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I’m not dead. I’m currently working on a longer fanfic, and I want to make sure I’ve got a few solid chapters down to make sure I know where I’m going and also to have some buffer chapters so I can keep on a regular posting schedule. I’m hoping to start posting in a couple of weeks. :)
Hey, you guys. I’m just letting you know that I’m back in college so stories will be slower in coming, but I’m doing my best.
Title: Snow
Fandom: Once Upon a Time
Characters: Regina Mills, Henry Mills
Genre: Family
Word Count: 400
Summary: Henry just wants Regina to play in the snow with him.
“Hold still,” Regina said, trying to do up the last button on Henry’s coat. Henry fidgeted, staring longingly at the fresh snow covering the lawn.
“Mom,” he whined. “I wanna play.”
“I know,” she said, “but hold still.” Her voice was stern, perhaps a bit too stern, as Henry frowned. He stopped fidgeting, though, which allowed her to finish buttoning his coat. “Okay, now you can go play.”
Henry dashed down the cleared walk (Regina would have to thank Sheriff Graham for shoveling it for her before he went to work) and bounded into a snowbank. Giggling, he threw handfuls of snow up into the air and let it drift back down on top of him, dusting his coat and hat white.
Regina pulled her coat tighter around her and crossed her arms, smiling at her son.
“Come play with me, Mom,” Henry said, laughing.
Title: For Henry
Fandom: Once Upon a Time
Characters: Emma Swan, Regina Mills, Henry Mills
Pairings: Swan Queen, Stable Queen
Word Count: 600
Summary: Regina hears that Henry’s horse is hurt and goes to help. She doesn’t expect to meet Emma Swan at the stables. (Prompt for gamergirloracle)
Regina stopped in the doorway of the Storybrooke Stables. Henry sat on an upturned bucket, scuffing his shoes against the barn floor, and stared mournfully into the open stall opposite him. Regina heard movement from inside, and a horse let out a huff. She assumed David must be tending to the horse. She thought for a moment about leaving as the Charming clan had only gotten more insufferable since their reunion, and Regina was tired of Snow White always getting her happy ending. But she hadn’t seen Henry for the past few days, and they didn’t have the right to keep her from her son.
“Henry?” she asked, hating the way her voice wavered.
Henry’s head shot up. “Mom?” He grinned at her.
Tears pricked Regina’s eyes: the last time she heard him call anyone ‘mom’ it was Emma Swan.
“Yeah, kid?” came Emma Swan’s voice from the stall.
Regina frowned. Henry’s eyes darted back to the stall and then back to her, clearly uncertain. Emma popped her head out of the stall. Seeing Regina, she froze.
“What are you doing here?” she asked.
“Advice to Aspiring Artists”.
This is very short. But if you only ever watch or reblog one YouTube video with me in it, make it this one. I mean it. This is important.
Transcribed for your quoting convenience:
“Saying that we have enough artists is like saying we have enough scientists, we have enough designers, we have enough politicians — we have enough politicians — but, you know, nobody gets to be you except you. Nobody has your point of view except you. Nobody gets to bring to the world the things that you get to bring to the world — uniquely get to bring to the world — except you. So, saying that there are enough writers out there, enough directors out there, enough people with points of view. Well yeah, there are, but none of them are you. And none of those people is going to make the art that you are going to make. None of them is going to change people and change the world in the way that you could change it. So if you believe somebody that says, “no, no, we’ve got enough of those,” then all it means is that you are giving up your chance to change the world in the way that only you can change it.”
Signal boost for the transcription. (Thank you.)
Pick any passage of 500 words or less from any fanfic I’ve written, and stick that selection in my ask/fan mail. I will then give you the equivalent of a DVD commentary on that snippet: what I was thinking when I wrote it, why I wrote it in the first place, what’s going on in the character’s heads, why I chose certain words, what this moment means in the context of the rest of the fic, lots of awful puns, and anything else that you’d expect to find on a DVD commentary track.

Title: Don’t Know How (2/2)
Fandom: Once Upon a Time
Characters: Emma Swan, Regina Mills, Mary Margaret, Ruby
Pairings: Swan Queen
Word Count: 3,000 (this part)/5,100 (whole)
Summary: When Regina becomes more withdrawn and hostile than usual, Emma gets suspicious about Regina’s new-found friendship with Ruby. Set during S1.
Emma heard Mary Margaret sigh from behind her and felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment. She dropped the toaster in the trash with a clang, careful to keep her back to her as Mary Margaret asked, “What happened this time?”
“Regina,” Emma said, hating the strain in her voice. “She’s crazy.”
Mary Margaret sat down one of the stools at the kitchen island. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“No,” Emma snapped. Then, grudgingly, “Yes.” She turned around, and met Mary Margaret’s shocked face. Emma knew she looked like a wreck: red eyes, tear stained face and all the fight gone out of her. “I don’t know what to do.”
“Oh, sweetie.” Mary Margaret reached out as though she were going to pull Emma into a hug and then hesitated. She dropped her hands to her sides. She grabbed a bottle of wine, and a minute later, Emma had a glass placed in her hands.
Emma took a deep slip. “I don’t know what happened. I don’t know what I did.” With trembling hands, she gulped down the rest of her glass. “She’s going to leave me.”
“Wait, what?” Mary Margaret’s eyebrows shot upwards.
“I messed up,” Emma said, eyes stinging. “I let Henry’s grades slip and now…”
Mary Margaret placed a hand on Emma’s shoulder. “Emma, you have to realize how ridiculous this sounds… There’s no way Regina is leaving you because you let Henry’s grades slip. There has to be more to it than that. Have you actually talked to Regina about this?”
“I tried, but - “
“Try again,” Mary Margaret said, giving Emma a stern look.
Emma let out a slow breath. “Okay… Okay.”
